And it does a year. The film, directed by Justin Lin (Star Trek: Beyond), was scheduled to hit theaters on May 22, but will now be released worldwide sometime in April 2021, and specifically April 2, 2021 in the United States.
Fast & Furious 10, the tenth and last installment of the saga was scheduled to premiere on April 2, 2021, so its predecessor has kept that day. Does this mean that we will have to wait until 2022 to know the outcome of the franchise?
